It's definitely a nice game and has great potential. I unfortunately don't know how to do that at this time. I wish someone who had accessibility knowledge would be able to get in touch with this developer and help this process happen. Somehow managed to put the house God knows where in the grid. Went through that to Torio and not able to build the road either. I just downloaded the game and it was a waste of my time. I don't know enough about coding for iOS either to give her any advice as to what to do. She said she had someone in Europe who was supposedly willing to help her but they were Knochel. I had contacted this developer over two years ago about accessibility. I don't suppose anyone has gotten far enough to build anything yet? Solara had something like this - it would just stick the new building in the closest empty spot with space. Has anyone sent them Apple's documentation on creating accessible apps?Īlso there would have to be a way to 'auto-place' buildings if there isn't already, now that I think on it. From the looks of it it just requires better button labeling, labels for some of the text values on the screen and a better order on which the elements cycle when you swipe through them (also an ability to perhaps isolate focus on the Tutorial popups when they're pen or when you're switching between tabs?) Not sure how easy this would be to implement - I haven't coded in IOS since before they came out with the Swift coding language. I may send them a generic request for accessibility, though. I'm not sure if I have enough knowledge on the inner workings of IOS code to give them pointers on how to make it accessible. (Most other games in this genre are completely inaccessible.) It's nice to see this one at least has the beginnings of potential for accessibility with actual buttons that are actionable and the ability to navigate the screen by swiping. I always loved Sim City and the like when I could still see and have been looking in vain for an accessible game like this.
